Resources: Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Education
Knowing how to walk and bicycle safely are important lifeskills. Incorporate safety education as part of any program to encourage kids to bike and walk to school. Educate parents and drivers, too. Remind parents and other drivers to obey speed limits and yield to walkers and bicyclists.
